Wonderful and/or Interesting Web Links
I enjoy bowling the net (rolling around on the Internet, looking for website gems. Some are strikes; others are splits; and sometimes I land in the gutter -- unintentionally!) I also find myself blopping (blog hopping), looking for recipe-lover blogs, book blogs, and music blogs.
Here are links to Internet sites I use regularly or simply land on now and then. Send me a link to your favorite site!
The Denver Science Fiction and Fantasy book club began in the summer of 1994, meeting twice a month. The books alternate between science fiction and fantasy, with a few interspersed books of sub-genres, such as, science fantasy, alternate reality, magical realism, and horror to name a few. Members rate the books and also provide book reviews, interviews, and movie reviews. Peruse the website and you’ll find top 20 lists and bottom 20 lists of books that have been read throughout the years in the book club.

My website turned out perfectly -- exactly as I had planned -- with some good advice and suggestions from my webmaster. If you want a personal website or business site that’s professional and affordable, I totally recommend Kevin Turner. Check out his online portfolio.

When editing, I tend to use the Chicago Manual of Style, and this is the link to its website (for the time being, "Web site" is formal usage; "website" is informal usage). If you have simple grammar or punctuation questions, the CMOS website’s FAQ area is very helpful.
The New Yorker magazine offers a caption contest once a week. Anyone can enter. Go to this website, check out the drawing, and fill in a caption that makes you laugh out loud. You might win!

NASA photo gallery of nebulae has fabulous photos. I love our universe and I’ve used, with permission, some of NASA’s photos as wallpaper on my computer.
